Kelly Lynn Jones interviews Michelle Blade

On a Tuesday night, SaFrancisco-based artist, Michelle Blade and I chatted online like we do always about art and life. The week before I was in her studio where I shot photographs of her newest work. We agreed an interview between the two of us would best be a chat online since that is part of our daily routine. We are very close friends and when we cannot actually hang out, we chat online all day long. If you are in the Los Angeles area, please visit Michelle’s exhibition, “Hanging Fire” at Carter & Citizen. It is on view through June 23rd, 2012.

Here is a list of links of the people we spoke of above: Christine KeslerMike Calway-Fagen, and the music of Diane Cluck.

Kelly Lynn Jones is an artist and curator from Los Angeles and living in Oakland, California. She received her MFA in May 2010 from the California College of the Arts in San Francisco. Jones has shown her work all over the US and Europe. Jones created Little Paper Planes in 2004. After graduating from art school, Jones wanted to create an online platform where she and her friends could sell the pieces they were making to help support their individual art careers. LPP was one of the first online stores offering artist editions.
