Noël Morical is a process-based artist and educator living in Chicago, IL. Noël originally hails from Indianapolis IN, and transferred to Chicago in 2009 to attend The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2011. Noël is interested in decoding experience. In addition to her studio practice, she teaches in after-school enrichment programs. Noël has several projects in the works! She will continue to sell her small works and wearables through Tusk & UTOTEM in Chicago and She/Folk in Brooklyn. In 2015, Noël will collaborate with Tusk on designing the window displays for their retail space in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood. Noël and collaborator Mike Paro are working with Jana Kinsman of Bike-A-Bee to create beehives and swarm boxes for next Spring. Bike-A-Bee is an urban farming initiative that provides hives to community gardens and urban farms in Chicago, by bike! In November, Noël (along with Max Garett) is exhibiting new work at Slow, an alternative exhibition venue in Chicago, and also at Faber&Faber in December. She is very excited and looks forward to making a ton of new work before the year is out!
